3. because one time you shredded your t-shirt (and maybe your pants) and pinned them back together with safety pins to play in the misfits cover band a few halloweens back. the night ruth allison wouldnt play her set. i think we left and went to cracker barrel.
4. it was almost as good as the night quinn and i walked into the practice room to borrow the korg and caught you loving a lady. with your bedroom door open. (awesome.) there is something to say about the ease, comfort, and humiliation that comes with close friends.
5. i just remembered that you lent me an e.e.cummings book that i never returned. i think you inherited it from hiro. i regret not giving that back, but i promise to pay it forward.
6. the first time we met, i opened up the door on 429 e and there you were, standing on the doorstep. for book club. you were wearing a grey hoodie. i have noticed that you only wear monochromatic clothing and underwear.
7. i have noticed that you look good in black jeans.
8. maybe the next time i see you you will have the star wars sleeves you drool about. or maybe you and johnny will have given each other more crappy self-done pen tattoos. of straight lines. or squares.

10. i saw team america world police with you for the first time. and i think that we both felt that patriotic spark.
